A competitive match for the Bs against Purley, where we started slowly and somewhat hesitantly and paid the price early on (and in the first quarter especially). 2-0 at half time, but the team grew in confidence, execution and aggression setting up an exciting final quarter at 2-1 thanks to a goal by Amelia.
We went 3-1 down from a short corner despite some good chances ourselves, but then really got the bit between the teeth, pulling a goal back with Elisabetta firing a rebound into the net and then finishing with a great long range shot from Minnie to get back level.
We had chances from there, as did they, but overall a great comeback and some very encouraging signs, enthusiasm and effort in the second half. Many thanks to Nick and Matt for umpiring.
