Committee Vacancy: Senior Club Secretary

The Senior Committee are recruiting for a new Club Secretary. Come and join us! All Senior Committee members receive discounted subs. 

You will form part of the core Senior Committee, alongside the Chair, Secretary, and Club Captains.

We will ensure there is an extended and smooth handover between the current and incoming secretary, so don’t worry about learning the ropes.

What is my role?

The main role is to support on administrative tasks such as arranging committee meetings and taking minutes, and be a point of contact for England hockey. You’ll also be able to influence decisions around how the club manages finances, teams and facilities.

What is the time commitment?

Approximately 1 hour per week, alongside attendance at committee meetings every 6 weeks (1hr/1hr30mins in length) and the AGM in April/ May.

What else can you tell me about the role?

Anyone can do the role, and we are a very relaxed committee of hockey players. Just make sure you are organised and interested!

What tasks are involved?

• Arrange committee meetings, send out agenda and circulate minutes
• Arrange AGM, send out agenda and circulate minutes
• Handle league affiliations and competition entries 
• Be the first club contact for any red cards and other playing disciplinary issues 
• Be the main point of contact for England Hockey
